Katie Archibald of Scotland has won a Gold Medal at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games as part of the GB womens cycling team pursuit. Team colleague, Laura Trott became the first British woman to win three Olympic gold medals as Great Britain’s women set a new world record to retain their team pursuit title in Rio.
Trott, Joanna Rowsell-Shand, Elinor Barker and Katie Archibald clocked four minutes 10.236 seconds to beat the United States in the final.
